Crew Review: Capresso Burr Coffee Grinder #559

In our search for entry level grinders that still get the job done, we tested out this model from Capresso. While it doesn’t grind fine enough for traditional espresso extraction, it was fairly consistent and worked well for pressurized extractions to pour over to drip to press pot.

Watch as Gail tests out this grinder, discusses its features, pros and cons and then demonstrates its grind quality.

Crew Reviews: Capresso Perfect Tea, H20Pro & CM200

We went on a Capresso testing spree last week as we tried out some new products we’re bringing in to the store.

First up, the Perfect Tea, which enables you to boil water to a specific temperature:

Next is the H20Pro Kettle, which also enables you to boil water to a specific temperature, but also provides a holding temp option and a rapid boil duration option (if you want to dissipate chlorine in your water):

Finally, the simple, straight forward CM200 drip coffee maker:

Crew Review: Capresso FrothPro

For the separatists in the group, we offer up a new stand-alone milk frothing/steaming unit by Capresso, the FrothPro. Whipping up silky milky (hot or cold) is easy and fairly fool-proof, which we dig — plus, the milk pitcher is dishwasher safe! We’ve seen a couple of questionable Aeroccinos, so this could be the answer to those that are a little bit too busy to handwash their gadgets.

It’s also a great value, coming in at around $60, so that’s cool, too. The inserts are plastic, however, which we don’t love quite as much — but it’s all about balance, baby.

Watch Gail show us its specs and give it a run through.

Video Crew Review: Capresso Cafe Espresso Machine

Recently, we wrote our first pass review of the new Capresso Cafe espresso machine and now we have the demo video to back it up! We really were impressed with the features and price of this machine — again, it’s no Rancilio Silvia, but it’s also nearly $500 less! Watch Gail take us through the features, plus demonstrate shot extraction (pressurized and non-pressurized) and milk frothing (with panarello and without).

Crew Review: Capresso Flat Burr Grinders

Released this year, Capresso has a couple of more inexpensive burr grinder options now available on the scene. We tested them out to see how they perform — will they grind fine enough for espresso? And are they as inconsistent as their Infinity brethren?

Watch as Gail shows us the grinder’s specs, grinds at the finest/coarsest and then demonstrates using it with the Saeco Via Venezia espresso machine.

Crew Review: Capresso Coffee TEAM

Any drip coffee lovers in the house? If you’re looking to swap out an older drip coffee brewer and are interested in a high quality grinding-and-brewing combo, Capresso’s Coffee TEAM is an awesome solution. You can program it to freshly grind and brew your drip coffee in the morning, so you’ll be lulled out of sleep by the softly wafting scent of java creeping out of your kitchen. Well, it’ll be either the scent or the sound of the grinder, but we’re all about accentuating the sumptuous here. In this video, Gail shows us the Coffee TEAM and brews up a delicious cup of coffee.
