    Eureka! It works! Having recently switched from an aeropress to a bar32, based a lot on info from Gail & kat, thank you, I have been enjoying really great expressos. there was something that only the aeropress has, but it took me a few weeks to put my finger on it and try out a solution.

    It is the extra purity of the aeropress’s micro-pore filters.
    I figured out how to get the best of both worlds.

    Into a non-pressurizedfilter cup (from aus!), i put an aeropress filter. (it a little big, but curl up the edge).
    Now you don’t have to be such a tamping expert! The result is even better than a pressurized expresso!

    You get that clear flavor by filtering out all but the smallest coffee particles and you get the strength and convenience of a 15 PSi pump.

    (I use home-roasted indonesian celebes kalossi for it flavor and low acidity)

    Clearly better than either system alone.
