Blind Taste Test: Technivorm vs. Bonavita Coffee Makers
Things were getting a little bit docile around these parts, so it was clearly time for another grudge match! We asked Gail to brew a pot of coffee in the Technivorm Moccamaster KB741 and in the Bonavita Coffee Maker, then line ‘em up and see which our trusty crew members preferred.

Love your videos! I own the Technivorm and was glad to see the “split” verdict (would have to own the Bonavita as well if it won, phew!). Maybe the Techno with the thermal carafes would have resulted in closer temps? Thanks for providing all of the great info!!!
Could be, yes! We might test it out in the future. Although, the temp variable aside, they were both great cups.

Can you tell me how much steam the Bonavita produced while brewing? My previous Mr. Coffee produced alot and ended up ruining my cabinet finish.
It does a standard amount; not so much that I would think it would damage cabinets, but some will come out the sides/top, especially after the brew is complete. I would still suggest keeping it out from under cabinets as it brews if at all possible.
