Crew Review: Mahlkonig K30 Vario Commercial Grinder

If you’re going to do it, just do it, okay? No half steps! No ginger movements! No quasi-commitments! If you’re serious about making great coffee at your home or business, you seriously have to consider Mahlkonig’s K30 Vario. What? You don’t have an extra $1800 to drop on your grinder alone? That’s no excuse! Okay, maybe it is.

Nevertheless, even if you’re not willing to pick up one of these exceptional grinders because of mortgage payments or your child’s college fund, you can still enjoy watching the lovely conversion of form and function as Gail walks us through features and functionality, then demonstrates how well this baby grinds. Enjoy!

Holy smokes! That thing grinds fast! I’m curious–are Baratza and Mahlkonig related? Just wondering since they both have a Vario model.
I’ll have to see if Harry ends up on the doghouse for anything before Christmas, at which point this grinder will be his “bail” :-)

Hahaha — that’s some serious bail! I wish Harry good behavior but will be secretly rooting for bad ;)

Mahlkonig manufactures the burrs for the Baratza Vario, hence the namesake.

Guys, you know that Mahlkonig has two different Varios. The K30 Vario (in the video) is only manufactured and distributed by Mahlkonig, but the VARIO (not in the video) is the home grinder which is distributed by them and Baratza.

Ummmm….yeah, we’re quite aware, since we sell both. Technically, they manufacture the burrs on the Baratza Vario, not the entire grinder.
