Baratza Virtuoso Preciso Available Now

We finally got our paws on the new Virtuoso Preciso, which gives you 11 micro adjustments within the standard 40 macro adjustments (allowing you to dial in your grind more precisely). It also comes standard with the Portaholder. Check out our video review on this from a couple of weeks ago to learn more about this grinder’s basic specs, or watch Gail compare it with the regular Virtuoso and the Vario.

As of this writing, we have 6 to sell until the end of October — Baratza had a very limited initial manufacturing run, so they limited retailers to just 6 this time around. If you’ve been coveting this, grab it soon or you may have to wait until later this month or early November for your chance.

Do you recommend the virtuoso preciso or rancillio rocky. I’m trying to decide which one. It will be my first higher end grinder. I’m looking for one that will last a few years.

The Preciso is very new and we have not had the chance to test it out with the newer set of burrs; I would probably go for the Rocky for longevity reasons over the Preciso at this point. If you can jump up to the Vario, that would be an excellent choice and would last you for quite awhile.

I picked up the Baratza Virtuoso Preciso from you guys a few weeks back. After a few bumps on my initial cleaning, its been working like a champ (maybe a little overkill) for my Ascaso Dream. The Velton beans were great too.

Where else do you recommend picking up fresh beans in the Seattle area? Trekking up to Lynnwood is a bit far for me.

    Thanks!

Check out Seattle Coffee Works near the Market — they have rotating single origins and great blends. Probably my favorite roaster in Seattle (and no, we are not affiliated :) )
